CBS Sexton Street Limerick
The JP McManus Scholarship Fund was established in 1997 under Deed of Settlement by JP McManus, where he provided a capital sum for the purpose of funding the provision of third level education scholarships for students completing the full Leaving Certificate cycle at Coláiste Mhichíl, CBS, Sexton Street, Limerick.
Eight scholarships are awarded each year, and they apply at the rate of €6,750 per annum for the full term of the undergraduate programme chosen. 233 scholarships have been awarded to date.
Every three years, an awards ceremony takes place in Adare Manor for scholarship winners and their families. With over 220 guests in attendance, Dialog Communications was delighted to manage the event, which celebrated the 2023, 2024 and 2025 scholarship recipients.
It was a very special occasion for the 24 students, their families, staff of Coláiste Mhichíl, the Scholarship Trust, special guests, and local media representatives. We were delighted to welcome Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan TD and Guest of Honour, Doctor James Ryan, Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician at Mercy University and Mater Private Hospitals to the event.
